Anti-fog spray, 23 ml
Water-based anti-fog for goggle and eyewear lenses, with no silicone and no alcohol, and not hazard classified under EU CLP.
Supplied on tender, framework agreement and humanitarian programme terms. Sample cartons available for evaluation.
Fogging is the ordinary reason eye protection stops being worn: a lens that mists over in a warm ward or under a face shield gets lifted, and at that point it is protecting nobody. This is a water-based solution sprayed onto the inside of the lens, for goggles and eyewear in routine use.
The formulation is 78.7% water with two surfactants, a trace of cypress extract and benzoic acid as a preservative. It contains no silicone and no alcohol. A European toxicological risk assessment of the formulation, carried out in June 2022 by a European Registered Toxicologist, found it not classified under CLP, not irritant, not sensitising, and neither carcinogenic, mutagenic nor toxic for reproduction. The assessor advises avoiding contact with eyes and skin, which is what the label says.
In use it wants patience rather than effort: spray evenly across the inside of the lens and let it dry for three to five minutes without wiping, since wiping is what removes the film. Users with sensitive eyes can rinse the lens lightly with water afterwards to take off any excess. This is a lens accessory rather than protective equipment: it is not a medical device and not PPE, so no CE marking is claimed for it.
