Enviromental Policy

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact. We work with our manufacturers to ensure adherence to ISO 14001 standards and prioritize introducing products with less environmental impact, such as biodegradable gloves and using sustainable packaging. Our objectives include using FSC-certified packaging material for half of our product packaging by the end of 2023.

Supplier Policy

Eastwest’s supplier qualification policy is to source from the best and most successful suppliers in the marketplace. Qualification is based on supplier quality management, product specifications, delivery capability, environmental and employee rights compliance, financial strength, and reputation. Documentation is obtained to verify compliance, including the supplier’s Code of Conduct. Continued qualification is monitored through product quality, information gathering, and annual reviews. Deficiencies may lead to termination of cooperation.

Meet the core part of our team

Michael KastrupsenFounder

Michael is a person who deeply values building strong and lasting relationships with both our clients and suppliers across the globe. He has extensive experience as a CEO and founder of various companies. Michael used to hold the position of CEO at Eastwest Medico but has now transitioned to the roles of founder, board member, and advisor.

Niels Kristian BitschCEO

Niels Kristian is the current CEO of Eastwest Medico. He joined the team in 2020 and plays an instrumental role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the business. Niels Kristian is primarily responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, managing large-scale orders, and leading government tenders.

Knud LauritzenQuality and supervision

Knud Lauritzen is our person on the ground in China. In close cooperation with SGS, Knud is responsible for factory inspections, and quality control of our suppliers. Knud makes sure that our products are always living up to expectations.

Caspar KjærHead of Sales

Caspar is responsible for achieving the sales targets and objectives set by the management. This includes managing the sales team, as well as overseeing all aspects of sales including territory mapping, pipeline management, pipeline development, and appropriate staffing levels.

Jitender SinghProcurement Director

Jitender Singh is our procurement director and the first person you will meet if you are one of our sub-suppliers. He has been with us for over two years now. He is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing all the suppliers that we work with. He is passionate about his job and always makes sure, that we have a steady supply of quality materials at competitive prices.

First movers with biodegradable examination gloves

In line with our sustainability policy we are happy to announce that we are the first to offer biodegradable nitrile gloves in Scandinavia. They are specially designed to biodegrade in landfills through a microbial process. Our cutting edge biodegradable nitrile gloves are also accelerator free and conform to all the specifications and certifications you would require for a high-quality nitrile glove.
